Well, we recomend EMG's here to some people, so i dont guess it hurts to ask if a DiMarizo pickup set would work out good would it? I was thinking about a good setup for ultimate versitility, Well put a Humbucker from hell in the neck and put an X2N in the bridge, with my 3 way switch and 2 tone knobs i would think i could make any sound possiable. Anyones thoughs? Advice? its for my 2004 platium pro warlock.

(Sorry but all duncans sound kinda alike and i cant tell, none of them seam to have the single coil sound i want for my neck, and yes i'd be happy to get a setup from SD but i havent been able to find anything that i was really looking for.)

Btw i was wanting to build a guitar that could play sweet home alabama, then kick over and play death metal. And that setup i believe could do it.

You may want to consider a Bill Lawrence XL-500 and a L-500C in the neck. The XL is Plenty hot and the L-500C sounds alot more like a single than a HFH and has alot more mojo to it. I use the Same combo in my Jackson with an EMG SPC instead of a tone. The SPC will make things even hotter when you turn it up.

I dont know anything about bill Lawrence stuff tho. And my main question was, would this setup work good, cause i dont wana get 2 pickups so mismatched it makes it sound like ****.

I use them and they sound great when played togeather. The XL-500 and the L-500C in the middle position, sounds really good even though they are so different. It has kind of an acoustic tone. I am not sure about the X2N and the HFH. I would say it would be worth a try. You can always alter the pickup heights to compensate for differences.
