Can't get a good ground on my strat!!!

I'm having trouble getting a good ground on my strat, its such a pain in the a**!!!! Right now im using the guitar nuts diagram and i still get lots of noise. I'm thinking of taking the shielding out of the body as it came out kind of messy, but i followed directions and tacked together the separate pieces with solder. My old pickguard got a good ground, but those were noiseless pickups, but arent they just noiseless because they're stacked humbuckers? From where should ground come from to be sent to the output jack?

All strat grounds terminate at the volume pot and one grounds to the string claw...

Re: Can't get a good ground on my strat!!!

Is that coupling clip from the volume pot connected to the output only or does it go to ground as well?

Did you remember to ground the shielding by soldering a wire from the foil to ground?

i have a wire soldered to a washer that is drilled into the body with a screw that goes to the volume pot

is it typical to get further hum reduction when you touch the jack plate? so a wire should come from the string claw to the back of the volume pot, and from the back of the volume pot to the output jack or am i wrong lol
