Hi
Firstly, thanks to everyone who helped out with my 500T pickup match question. I have gone with the a SD Jazz for the neck.
What I'm doing now is having 2 Alpha 500K log push/push pots for the tone pots to split the 500T in the bridge and the Jazz in the neck. I will be following the Seymour Duncan wiring diagram (obviously adapting the Gibson wiring colour code to match for the 500T).
What I have noticed opening up the control plate is that currently the 223 orange caps go from bridge tone to bridge vol pots and the other from neck tone to neck volume. The Seymour Duncan diagram shows the caps (.47) soldered from tone lug to tone base, in other words the cap stays wired to both tone pots.
So, my question is when I install the push/push tone pots can I still use the current existing 223 caps wired from volume to tone? Obviously with push/push pots they will have to be soldered to the side instead of the bottom.
Hope someone can help out?
Thanks
