hey guys....what do you know about this axes?...any owner on the forum??

i have found over the net info about the guitars and reviews, about their construction and craftmanship, the aftermarket hardware that they include on his guitars (schaller floyd rose type, gotoh machine heads)...the reviews suits this guitars betwen usa jacksons and ibanez j.customs (their necks also are constructed not as thin as wizards but not as thick as gibson/fenders...i think it should be like soloist or dinkys kind of feel)...they all are made of mahogany body, maple neck (oiled) and ebony board, 24 frets (there is a model with 27... :saeek:...but i think last frets will be like sh*t)...and they come with stock pups (only thing i don´t like)...

...and about the price they are going about 2000 €...close also to usa jacksons, esps and neck-thru prestiges

so, what do you think of this guitars dudes?

see ya ;)

Re: Caparison Guitars...

They appear to be excellent guitars. One of my favourite guitarists, Fumihiko Kitsutaka from the band XYZ>A plays them. Also the guitarist from Arch Enemy. And finally, Andy La Roche, from King Diamond plays Caparison guitars, as well.
I've never played one, so I have no first hand experience with the guitar.

Re: Caparison Guitars...

Killswitch Engage swears by them which is saying a lot since they used to swear by PRS. Same with Evergrey, Soilwork, and the Haunted. If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me I guess.

Re: Caparison Guitars...

AFAIK www.guitarasylum.com is now the official US Distributor. But I may have goofed in all the hubbub about NAMM ;)

You sure on KSE/prs , though?? I´ve never, EVER seen them w/a PRS, live or in videos. I HAVE seen a 7 string Squier, an Ibanez Universe, a Brian Moore and said Caparisons (come to think about it, everything from "Fixation on the Darkness" on I´ve actually ONLY seen the Caps...)

Re: Caparison Guitars...

yes, guitar asylum is the US distributor...the European one suits in denmark, i think it will be a pain trying to order one only to try it.

no store would order one to spain if i´m going only to try the axe...thats the reason i´m asking for any owner for info about neck profiles and things like that (although i think there has to be too much of an axe to beat a soloist)

Re: Caparison Guitars...

I posted about these a little bit ago...

Good to see some new info popping up!

I met Matias Eklundh at NAMM and he actually let my try out his PERSONAL Apple Horn model... I liked it a LOT. Smooth neck, nice big frets, narrower nut width than ibanez or Jackson and a slightly thicker C-neck (reminded me of an EBMM) Body balaced real well... stock pickups seemed OK tonewise but REAL harmonically sensitive. Stayed in tune under extreme abuse, body balanced well... killer axe! I'd love to get one of those or a Horus model.
