The Kyser never worked right for me - as you can't adjust the tension it would make the strings sharp in certain positions. What's the point of a capo if you have to retune when you use it? I've had nothing but great experience with my Shubbs. I actually prefer the Original to the Deluxe.
Um, maybe because it removes low notes? Other than that, no, I don't think so. It does make open chords in higher positions a bit brighter and more sparkling.
