Re: Carl Martin Plexitone
Well I both work there and the Plexi is the pedal that my workmate and me made, almost two years ago now...uh time is going fast.
It is amp dependant, it follows the amps signature, it is a very clear and fat pedal, not insanely gainy, but it has plenty for that classic 80's sound.
As said it does not like every amp out there, it thrives on British styled amps, it was made to sound good both on low volumes and high if needed.
It is not a distortion like the Tonebone, it is still an overdrive.
Some smaller amps will choke under it, since it has plenty of lowend like a real plexi has when it is cranked, on the right setup it will you clarity and that glassy Marshall sound, it is made simple on purpose, so no fancy eq's or stuff like that, your gear is crucial here, if you do not like your amp, this thing will only magnify the things you dislike.
And it is a loud pedal, people with knob placement obsessions will be annoyed over this one

There is an oversized power regulator filtering in it too, this one will never loose its breath, it compresses very little, so I guess it is for players who likes dynamics and nuances.
I'll get a few new clips up soon of my standart Plexi.
Hope this helps.
