We made a video for our song "thirteen angels".
I some of my Carvin gear.

Carvin X100B iv.
Carvin V3 cab (V30 loaded).

solo is at about 3:24.

Re: Carvin gear in action.

you guys put the wow in pwower metal! your bassist is awesome. he's worth 3 or 4 normal bassists.

interesting amp choice for this type of music - I had one and could hardly ever jive with it's overdrive sound. what's the iv mean, like 4th generation?

any of you guys related to (in a previous band sense) to Realm from WI?

Thanks, Dankstar.
Yes, the iv stands for 4 generation X100.
For the vid I used just the X100b.
But, for the actual soundtrack, I used the X100b and then doubled the tracks with my V3.

No relation to the guys from Realm.

Sounds great!!! I couldn't tell from the video.. are you using the S22 covered Carvin pickups or are those Blackouts/EMGs?

On that ST300 I have the S22 covered pickups.

In the studio, for doubling, I also used my '94 DC400 which has the M22n/M22sd pickups.

Cool chops man nice guitar , what kind of PUs ?

Sounds as if you guys have had some time together cool .

Carvin makes some great gear , nice sound man . I have a X-60 and it's 18 years old now .

Sounds as good as it ever did too :) I got it because my tube 50 watt Marshall 12X2 was killing my back . I went to Carvin when they had the Escondido store open before they moved to San Diego . I side by sided the two amps with my Shure Brothers 520 SD Bullet mic [ http://www.greenbulletmics.com/ ] and ripped it hard and nasty to see how it compared to my Marshall , I sold the Marshall the next week and got that X-60 .

At that time I wasn't playing guitar yet ( I was only blowing harp then ) and this Carvin stood right up and roared classic tube crunch and bite . Only really big difference was a slightly less percussive pop , I could live with it . When my second chance at guitar playing romance came through ( I call it my guitar playing prayer miracle ) in 1999 I realized soon that this X-60 was really great for my electric guitar playing too and also really great when I plugged my acoustic steel string to it .

I hit the Santa Ana store here in southern California every once and a while to see what they have been up to . My next Carvin purchase will probably be a Carvin NS-1 , I have a Roland GR33 guitar synthesizer module already waiting ( I use a Godin LGXSA for triggering the synth now ) , Carvin's nylon synthesizer guitar rivals the best .

I get nada from Carvin at all , I just like their stuff .

Easy Blood Brother nice video .
