What do you guys think about the CArvin MTS 3200 series amps. How are the cleans? What is the gain channel comparable to? How versatile is this amp? Can it cover the gamut of sound from clean country to hard rock? Thanks for the info gentlemen. :)

Re: Carvin MTS 3200

It is actually a good sounding amp! I have (for sale) a mTS3212 and they have a very good clean and a very good crunch too! I retubed mine with El34s instead of the stock 5881s and it gives me alil more of a Marshall type tone. Carvin has its own thing. The adds make it sound like a 5150 clone but it isnt. and that is why Carvin gets bashed alot. People expect them to sound like this or that. They are their own co. The amp is very versatile and I have a buddy that plays pro and has one and gets amazing tone from it. I recently put all new JJ preamp tubes in and its even better. The only reason Im selling it is because Ive got too many financial obligations right now. (need to finance a div). Anyhow, its a good amp

Re: Carvin MTS 3200

Cool! Thanks for the info. What speakers do you use for it? Im thinking of getting the head versionand using a 2x12 sealed cab with a pair of Vintage 30's.

Re: Carvin MTS 3200

Mine is an older one with the british series in it and I run it thru a carvin 4x12 with the british series speakers. Very good sounding cab. I use the same cab for my PV ultra plus head
