Howdy all.
I have a Carvin C66 and love the thing. I wish I had ordered it with an OFR instead of the Wilkinson, but you live and learn.
I've been thinking about getting a Tele style guitar and have been reading up on Andersons, Suhrs, warmoth/USACG builds and obviously Carvin. I'd like to focus on Carvin in this thread.
Does anyone have experience with the TLB-60?Dont be confused with the TL-60, which is a neck through 24 fretter, the TLB-60 is a bolt-on 22 fretter.
For just under a grand, I speced out a TLB-60 with Swamp Ash body, plane maple top, killer paint job, tusk nut, SS jumbo frets and all maple neck with birdseye maples.
I'd swap the Carvin pickups out for a bit more of a hot rodded set of some sort as well.
Anyone handled one? I'm flying out to see family in LA next week and my cousin and I are stopping by the Hollywood Carvin shop to check out their guitars in the flesh, so I'll be able to make a concrete assessment at that point but was interested in gathering opinions from others. The SS frets are a big plus for me as I love their feel.
