Case fitment

Real quick, does anyone know if a Gibson RD will fit a Firebird case?

My buddy ordered a Hagstrom Fantome from Sam Ash for $799shipped but no case available...

I found some Firebird cases and they look really close.. close enough to be modded atleast.
The Hagstrom is a 25-1/2" scale but it looks like plenty of headstock room in the FB case

Eastwood makes an RD clone but once again I don't think they offer a case.

Crap, I figured this would be a long shot cause these are fairly uncommon guitars...
I did find some more pictures of a Hagstrom (Gibby Rd copy basically) and it looks so close... I told him to go ahead and grab that case and try it out once... He plays out and is hoping to have this set-up and adjusted for next weekend hence my urgency.

If anyone has an idea on a "Fit's all" type of case that would be cool also, and I'll pass the info along to him. Thanks again....

For really oddball guitar shapes, generic bass cases can be a fallback solution

Well my friend got his Hagstrom today, but FedEx must have ran over it cause the neck is cracked really bad on this.
He contacted Sam Ash and he is getting another one at a discount so that was really cool on their behalf I must say..

Oh, and it fits in both his Jackson case and an 85 Kramer case so I think he is gonna use either of those, but thank you guys again for your help with this, much appreciated!

Wattage, be glad yours didn't do this! The fret board is the only thing holding the headstock on it's cracked that bad.

I asked Clint if he would post some pics for me so you guys could check out the carnage.

I thought you were making up words again Joe,,,,,,but to my education "fitment" is just as valid as Trump's "bigly",,,which I also originally doubted.
Looks like I should have spent more time reading and less time seeding!

Hahaha! Yea man I thought my title looked weird as well and I was going to edit my title right after posting that but I don't think its an option.... after you brought that to my attention I googled it to make sure it was a word.

My buddy called ZZsounds to place an order with them...

Get this... They have that exact case that allbutromeo linked me to... however ZZsounds has the guitar in one warehouse, and the case in another warehouse...AND they wont ship the case from one warehouse to the other in order to ship the guitar with a case.. AND... they wont open the guitar's box in order to inspect before shipping it...

Gotta love this...
