Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret mk III vs the new Red DLS

Hi !

For a long time I was coveting the Dirty Little Secret. The time to buy it has come but I just found out that there a new Red version which I like in PGS Andy's demo :

The new red DLS is less vintage I would say but I like its definition and brightness in that specific video... But it is hard to choose with the Youtube sound.

So anyone has experience with one of those fondation OD or both ?

Hey Francois,
I own the MK II, sounds great thru any amp I have. I've used it in the studio to get a Marshall sound thru a Vox AC30, and it sounds awesome live. I'm curious about the MK III, but I agree, YouTube demos don't always reproduce the full bandwidth accurately.

i have a mk2 and i really like it. my buddy has a mk3 and i like it too. the two modes of the 3 are nice and the mk2 kinda sits between them. i havent tried a red and the 3 isnt better than the 2, just different

I will use with the bedroom amp (mini Vox 5w without tube) and also to get a cranked Plexi sound out of the clean canal of JCM900 (100W)
