Treble Boosters are so under-rated. This one smokes... SG w/ Seth Lovers + Naga Viper + '68 Plexi + SM57 into DAW

Re: Catalinbread Naga Viper

i have a treble booster a buddy made (built into an old fire alarm box) and into a cranked amp, it sounds awesome! into a clean twin reverb, less so :D

Big fan of the 65 Amps Colour Boost.

Glad treble boosters are seeing a resurgence. A great effect that was underappreciated for decades.

TBs are definitely at their best pushing a tube amp that's already breaking up a bit. Generally not a great match with clean amps, though the CB has four different modes adding progressively more mid & bass boost; the last one is nearly full-range boost.

That sound clip makes a very cool and distinctive vintage sound.

Thanks all. Rhythm is "Country Girl" by Sabbath (original was 1/2 step down; this is concert pitch) with my noodling on top.

The Naga Viper is Rangemaster-based. Adds a unique midrange; almost like the slight "honk" of a PAF.

And it has what amounts to a variable hi-pass filter which is great for trimming the flub in the low end.
