So I usually play Fender amps, a Twin or a Super. I had to have surgery last week so I brought my little Orange TT and a 1x12 cab with a greenback up to the bedroom so I could keep myself busy while I'm recovering. I hadn't played it in a while. It's loaded up with NOS glass though and it sounds pretty good, I should play it more. Anyway, I put a Catalinbread SFT in front of it and it just sounds great. I have the amp set just on the verge of breakup. Gain around 9-10 o'clock. Tone set low, about 9 o'clock. The SFT is an awesome OD pedal, it's got very wide ranging EQ controls and it has a ton of clean boost if you need it. And it's thick meaty clean boost, not thin clean boost if you know what I mean. There's no harsh sounds with this pedal. The tone has me playing Stones sticky fingers tunes with a strat. Just wanted to share this recipe with you guys.
