Not made of metal (although definitely possible)

This category is for a guitar that is clearly saying "I'm gonna play metal" :headbang: before you even hear the first note.

The style of metal does not matter;
Proto - Sabbath, Purple
Classic - Maiden, Priest, Dio, Scorpions
80's/Hair/NWOBHM- Ratt, Dokken,Def Lep
Thrash - Met/Mega/Anthrax/Slayer

But it better say ^%$% YOU METAL UP YOUR@$$ just by looking at it!

No, I have the most metal-looking guitar out there, unfortunately it's literally out there, in the tech-shop for some makeover so I can't post it yet, unless this composite photo of the previous before the previous owner that the previous owner re-posted when he put it up for sale/trade (confused yet?) counts:




In all seriousness though, my no.1 is already the winner of a previous year (technically the category wasn't "Metal" but "Superstrat") and I am uncertain I'd like to start going down the ladder every year until I've run out of guitars.

Nevertheless, the first thing that comes to mind when I think of a metal guitar is a shadow-style, jet-black, floyded superstrat followed extremely closely by a black Explorer (Floyd, Kahler or TOM) with the various horned BCR-esque axes not far behind.

They were even good enough to place the volume knob just enough out of the way on that ironbird. What year is that? Guessing it's from just a few back.?

Yeah..it's recent & MIC. Not sure which year myself...but probably 2008-10. Great bang for the buck ..it's a neck-through, with an Ebony board, OFR (1000 series) & EMG 81.
