CC/59 A2 Bridge Hybrid

I've been thinking about getting/making one of these pickups. I've heard some of you forum bro's offer to make them for people, how much $$ would that set me back, and how do they sound in an alder/maple strat?

I'd want it to replace one of the 3 stock single coils in my 2004 Am Standard Strat, and I'd be wanting to coil tap the pickup. The pickup would have to be double white bobbins (preferably with Seymour's name on! )

Your in the UK eh? Need to see if anybody over there can do the mod for you...

I can do the mod myself, it's just that buying pickups in the UK to do it with would cost a lot. US equivalent - about $250. I realise that I'd get 2 pickups out of it, but I'm only after the one.

I'd have no problem paying for shipping from the USA, it'd still work out a much more reasonable price.

Shipping isn't too bad, I shipped a pair of humbuckers in their plastic cases to the UK for $10 or less, takes about a week to arrive.
