Celestion G12K-100 Speakers Q?

Hey guys/gals,

Does anyone have any experience with this speaker- either own a cab with them in or played through a cab in a shop for a substancial period etc?

I've heard from people that they can be muddy if the guitarist is playing in Drop-C and lower, although there are different factors which'd contribute to a muddy sound.

For "metal" i'm very much a V30 man, although i like G12T-75's too.

So, just wondering if anyone has played this relatively new speaker?

The celestion G12K-100 is an excellent speaker imho.
It came with a crate 1x12 cab which i got on a blowout sale.
From day one, I was planning on swapping the speaker right away, but I was pleasantly surprised when I first heard it.
It has warm highs, tight and full lows, and no spiky mid hump

had some, the treble controls barely worked with speaker it was so bright
