Celtic Caitlin Amp Pics - For Real This Time!

I posted a clip of my new Celtic Caitlin amp in the Tips and Clips forum, but I know people have been waiting for pictures as well. (You saw the box it was shipped in earlier. :) )

Here's how things looked when I first opened the box and removed the padding from the top:

Here's pretty much the same picture, only with some of the plastic wrapping folded away:

Out of the box!

The open back is filled with interesting articles on how Texas decided to repeal the death penalty:

To be continued...

The knobs really do go to 11:

All newspaper has been removed, along with the lovely NOS tubes (to the right) and a pamphlet on how to treat your happy Weber speaker:

Speaker tightened, tubes snugly in place...time to plug in:

Look at those power tubes glow:

Here are the guitar and amp together (the setup for the first clip I posted):

Enjoy!

I was actually looking forward to this tonight, and you delivered! That boxed up amp sucked me right in! :fingersx: :laugh2:

There's nothing I jones harder for than cool amps! And a note to forum members....this is how to unveil a new 'keeper.'

By the way, what song did you end up playing first?

I did "Born on the Bayou." I've got a rough clip of it in the Tips and Clips forum. Check it out. Tomorrow I'll do some dirty clips with the volume cranked up. This is all I could do with the family asleep. (I don't think I'll be getting much sleep tonight. :) )

Dude, that's HOT! Damn, I'm gettin' GAS just lookin' at it. :laugh2: See, if I ever get a Celtic, I can pick it up in person. ;) I'll drive the 2 1/2 to 3 hours for it.

Re: Celtic Caitlin Amp Pics - For Real This Time!

So tell us.....how much better does it sound than a Blues Jr, Blues Deluxe, or Classic 30?

I'm pretty sure it's in the same class, tonally, as all those great amps you and I played at True Tone Music. And fortunately, Scott prices them nicely....unlike all those!

Re: Celtic Caitlin Amp Pics - For Real This Time!

Well, I haven't had a chance to crank this baby yet. I won't know the full tonal range till tomorrow. I did crank it briefly, but only so I could turn down the guitar volume and see how well it cleans up. It cleans up beautifully! I was really surprised at how well it managed to keep the chime even with the volume rolled down on the guitar; it's like having a tweakable footswitch at finger's length.

I'll have to keep you posted. From all accounts thus far, this is an amp well worthy of TrueTone.

- Keith

P.S. Did I tell you I ordered a TrueTone t-shirt a day or two after we went? I need to get a Celtic Amps t-shirt now.
