Celtic Names

Stratman

Guitaris Maximus
Aislinn = a dream, vision, inspiration
Brenna = raven maid, dark-haired
Caitlin = pure
Dierdre = young girl, one who rages, broken-hearted
Edana = zealous, fiery
Evan = young warrior, well-born
Treasa = strong

Also known amps...

Franklin = matchless, without peer
Evan Rude = bad boy, original

Possibilities

Saraid = excellent = 100 watt Dumble killer
Scully = town crier = 50 watt but voiced like hot rodded Marshall
Shela = musical = 35 watt leslie type driven with an AB 165 circuit
Vaughan = little, small = 5 watt class A amp that nails SRV tone

What you all think? Should we keep requesting Scott to make musical magic?

the 1987 circuit hot moddeddd!
this is an awesome idea, hopefully capable of capturing the Yngwie and Scorpions and Early Maiden and Schenker vibe but still capable of singing cleans, mean and clean! !

I would love that..haha

Yeah, I would be onbaord if Scott made something that would do 80's hair metal without a dumb pedal in front of it. Hell, I am almost inclined to buy one anyway just from how pretty they look. Gr8scotts Edana is SCHWEET looking!

hell yesh!

A "Splawn" that doesn't empty your bank account! :usa1: :banana: that LOOKS like a vintage plexi (although would prefer for it to look like the metalface ones (big box 50w's)

still be 6 knob, if possible ("volume" and "gain" control as opposed to "loudness 1 and loudness 2" and with the same "sweet, bitchy" thing on the back but more like "Singing" or "Roaring" man that would be sooooo cool, on the "roaring" maybe add a few gain stages :))

Celtic Nuke:
5gainstages, 50watt 6L6, 4 channels, 2 fx loops.

Could this be a idea for Scott?

Re: Celtic Names

...or maybe he should continue to make the best of the versions he has. Great work so far.

Re: Celtic Names

Thanks for all the kind comments, but not really necessary.

Edana, Evan-Rude and Caitlin have come directly from customer request. I seriously listen to all your ideas. Some interest me, others don't. To date, I've sold more Edanas than anything else. I have a forum member to thank for initally sending me down that road.

I am working on a gainy amp. If it works out, I can't imagine you'll ask for any more. (but someone will!)

Could it be a 6v6 plexi power section with a cornford type pre and a post PI master volume?

Re: Celtic Names

I can dig it. I was thinking about tackling one of those myself (but modding the front end a tad). Would it be possible to have two inputs one low gain (JTM-45) and the other high gain? I have a fairly legible/corrected schematic for that side that I can email to you iffin ya want it.

Coupling those two pre-types would be the shizznit! One sweet and singing and the other vicious and destroying if you want to dial it in or just nice crunch if that's more to your taste. The other pre covers all the ground the JTM-45 type pre can't.
