Use a 1.8 M resistor, wired as shown above, and use a straight piece of wire. The cap is already there.

There is an easier way to do it and it doesn't effect the sweep.

Solder a .001mf or simular value capacitor across the output jack terminals. The smaller the mf value, the less top end will get passed to ground.

I've tried it and it works extremely well.
