Change A5 for A6

Hello, I have a P90 and a 59 humbucker that I want to change the alnico 5 for alnico 6.

My understanding of the A6 is that it has the warmth of A2, with power and definition on low strings more alike the A5. Is that correct?

What change would I expect?

I think what you said is more or less accurate.
Just remember that the P-90 uses 2 magnets with like polarities facing each other (eg: north of one mag facing in toward the screws and north of the other mag also facing in). You can also mix magnet types in a P-90...A2 + A5, or A2 + A8, for example.

Yes, A6 is oriented and responds like A5. Its eq is similar too with the same bass. But its top is slightly more rounded and it has some soft mids like A2. Also the overall color is slightly different.
