Changing 59 from 2 to 4 conductor?

Can this be done? Is it difficult or should I send it somewhere to have it done? I really want my 59 neck to be tappable!

You have to actually have a 4 conductor..I don't think you can make a 2 into a 4...If you could,it wouldn't be worth the aggravation..

It can be done. I have done it to two different 59's and I have also done this to Gibson pickups. John is right, it is alot of aggravation. Every humbucker has four wires. A start and a finish to each coil. That makes four. its a matter of taking the pickup apart and attaching a four wire connector to the proper wires without boogering up anything. I wouldnt do it unless you know what you are doing. I am sure MJ in the custom shop would do it for a reasonable price. The price is probally listed in the custom shop.
