Changing magnet to Alnico5 in Duncan Distortion

Does changing the magnet in a Duncan Distortion to an Alnico 5 basically give you a Duncan JB? (I've heard that before).

I've got a DD & I'm not crazy about the tone......thinking of trying this.

Any ideas?

not my street. I could walk down the block and ask EVERY PERSON that lives on the block and i would be willing to bet that 90% of them have no idea what a pickup even is.

but yes, thats what i've heard....err well, it was on here so i guess i read it. heck i don't know.
I just know that dd-ceramic mag+a5 mag=jb

I guess that's why they both sound like @$$ to me...

The only Duncans I have heard in the last while that I have liked are the Full Shred and the Screamin' Demon.

I wonder what an A5 or Ceramic mag would sound like in my Pearly Gates...

I guess that's why they both sound like @$$ to me...

A PG with an A5 is a PG+, which comes stock in some Fenders.
