Changing my Grover tuning knobs

This may be a stupid question, but how would I change the knobs on my Grover Roto-Grip locking tuners? I thought I could just take out the screw on the top of the knob and take the knob off, but that didn't seem to work. Any help would be great. I'm trying to take the keystone knobs off my regular Grovers to put them on my Roto-Grips.

While I'm at it, anyone know a good fix for getting the knobs on my vol/tone pots to stay on tighter? I just got a new Les Paul and a couple of the knobs are VERY loose - I can pull them straight up and off way too easily.

It's very simple. Us push-pull fans have to deal with this all the time. Lift the loose knobs off. Carefully use a flathead screwdriver, place it in the slot, and gently spread them ever so slightly. A small increase will make the knobs tighter. You don't want the knobs too tight; if you have to do any work inside you can ruin the pots or knobs trying to get them off. The shaft prongs are very brittle, and break easy, too easy; so use the hands of a brain surgeon, not a blacksmith.

I've had a pot shaft with a craked prong, almost broken loose. I didn't feel like replacing the pot at the time, so I put a piece of paper in the split, and that made the knob fit tight enough.

Most knobs come off in one piece, even if snug. The exception being the metal cap types (like on SG's) that have such thin plastic at the bases, they break half the time.
