Changing up my strat

Hey guys. I'm thinking of changing up my JV strat to either HSS or just HS. I'd like to get your opinion of which humbucker I should go with and let me know your opinion on HSS vs HS.

I have a JB, Screamin' Demon, Custom Custom, and a Custom/59 hybrid.

I'd like the strat to be able to go from classic rock to modern metal (with the humbucker), but the pickup needn't supply the gain - that's what my 5150 is for.

Depending on the pickup, here's what it would look like:

Any of those except the JB will do modern metal, as for classic rock, it depends on what you want. If it were me, I'd go with the 59/custom, that's going to be the most versatile in addition to sounding closer to your single coils (the mismatched coils give a hybrid back some of the harmonic complexity it loses with a matched wind, but at the expense of being able to do sweet pinch harmonics) The hybrid can still do pinch harmonics, you just have to work a bit harder for them; they don't 'jump' out the guitar the same way they do with a high resistance matched wind.
