Yep still loving the clean look with magnets
Not neck screws, bolts ,with inserts in the neck

Be careful if you're using baby neomags to hold on that cavity cover. Extra magnetic fields and all..

I used those small earth magnets on my map build and they seem fine.

First a couple of coats of sealer ,then 2k clear lacquer

CAn you cut/polish that stuff to a high gloss or is it matte/satin? It looks pretty shiny in the picz.

Also you make my wood work look like ****. :notworthy very insprational.

Yeah you can polish it within days of painting it

Nice! What's the white wood in the neck? In the pics, it looks too open-grained to be maple?

The lighter neck wood is Iroko ,I had it sitting in the rafters in my garage barely supported and when I got it down it was still arrow straight - so I supposed it would make ideal neck wood - it had a massive sustaining boom when I tapped it too

I think he gets some base plates machined up and uses floyd saddles.

I made a prototype from Aluminium ,then had a local engineer make them out of steel
