My wife volunteered me to handle the IT part of a charity auction for my two younger daughters' private school, the Little River Community School.

Those that know about my somewhat atypical family know that we've had years of trouble dealing with public schools, trying to get them to address Myra's learning disablility, and instruct her in a way she can learn. After years of trying we gave up and bailed. Little River has made a world of difference to Myra. We recently moved Edie to Little River, too.
The school is an outgrowth of a old-school hippie commune. It has about 24 students grades K-12. The guy who runs it literally built it himself and teaches the oldest group of kids. There are no grades, just three rooms, with kids grouped by age and ability. Everyone works at their own pace. The extremely modest tuition covers the basics, everything else is handled by parents, local donations, or occasional light-weight fundraising. This year they're having an eBay-ish auction, selling items and services donated by local merchants.
I'm going to build a third overdrive pedal, just like the two I built recently. I won't drop any names, but it's a clone of a high-strung, glassy, booteek screamer. Below are some pictures of my personal yellow version.
The auction pedal will be decorated with artwork from the school, although we're not clear yet on whether it will be decals or hand-painted. Parts were donated by Mad Bean Pedals and Small Bear Electronics. I'm donating some parts from my stock, and the labor to assemble the pedal.
This is just a heads-up to get the word out and generate interest... the auction won't start for another few weeks. I'll get pics of the actual pedal we're auctioning when I get it built next week.
Here's my yellow monster, outside and inside:
P.S. The auction pedal will have a battery clip. LOL
