cheap (but good) bass amp

im gonna get a bass around xmas time i think, so what amps should i be lookin at? i dont need anything too big (and probably couldnt afford it anyway). just enough to hear myself and sometimes with a guitarist or two (not in a band, just jam with some friends a lot)

how much? the ampeg 1x15 combo is great. loud, good tone. it'll last you a while too.

Crate's actually aren't bad at all for bass.

Yeah, how much is cheap? This Ashdown looks really nice and similar amps have really good reviews at HC (couldn't find the exact model, but the same series). http://www.zzounds.com/item--ASDEB12180
Plus, at 180 watts you can play with a band, even if you don't need to. It's nice to have the extra power in a bass amp.
