For sale a couple of US made necks that are good as is and could be great with a little bit of work-- a project Warmoth neck and a Carvin kit neck.
Not sure on exact specs on either. Warmoth feels like medium C or maybe just their standard thin Carvin has the typical wide flat back. Looks like med jumbo-jumbo frets on both. Warmoth has the compound 10-16" radius and the Carvin feels pretty flat (typically they are 14"). Warmoth comes as shown with Schaller, nut and string retainer. Carvin will come with a set of import no name Gotohs.
The Warmoth has a stress crack from the left rear nut mounting screw to the fretboard. Apparently this is not uncommon with this kind of neck. I bought it this way off eBay after reading it is generally stable but can be repaired relatively easy if it breaks off. I considered doing it preemptively, but then traded for a Charvel which satisfied my modest Floyd fix. $65 shipped/pp'ed as shown and as is.
Carvin has a seam that can be felt between the fretboard and the rest of the neck and had a water slide applied and removed, but is in very good shape otherwise. It is drilled for Gotoh and Kluson type tuners. Carvin necks are awesome and I have them on three other partscasters. Will sell this cheap to avoid it turning into another guitar.SOLD as is with the Gotoh tuner copies.
