I upgraded my friend's Ibanez Art Star, a Korean-made, full-bodied archtop that sells used for about $400. Remedy: A pair of SD ’59 model PAFs. Hum/sing switching. "Vintage-style" wiring. Now the thing sounds fab. . .

...or at least it would were it not for the fact that it's a lefty guitar, and I'm a righty. I foolishly recorded a demo without restringing. Hilarity ensured.

If Sergio Leone ever made a light-hearted family film, this would be Ennio Moricone's soundtrack.

Hehe — it IS from a lighthearted ’60s film — it's Jerry Goldsmith's theme from In Like Flint, a James Bond spoof. Goldsmith, Bond composer John Barry, and Morricone were all very aware of what each other was doing. . .
