Check My Wiring Diagram, Please?

Hi All!

So I am re-gutting my Charvel model 4 and re-wiring it. The midboost is long gone, but last time I did some messing around the guitar ended up sounding real dark (I was also 250k across the board at that time). Looking at the image below is this correct? I just want a simple VOL - TONE(neck) - TONE(bridge). Since my other Charvels are all 500 I went that route but sticking with 250k tone pot for the SC. Also, I took the middle pickup out as even at it's lowest, it's too high for me.

Thanks in advance! (and yes, I left all the ground connections out for better viability as there are a ton in here)

For those who care I'm putting the J90C back in for now, maybe an alternative 8 in a few weeks then it will be receiving my JBJ once it comes back from repair. I am a LITTLE worried how the JB will like the 500k in this guitar, but we'll have to wait and see (I got lots of 250 hanging around) as my 375 deluxe with the JB/500k sounds great, but as does my Strat with 250k/JB.

You NEED to show and Use a Ground wire so they dont Bug U about it

Some of them get all Anal : )

Looks good to me. What SC you have there?

(You should note that using two caps there will add both in circuit when both tone controls /pickups are active. May end up too muddy. I'd suggest to wire both tones into same cap.)

Thanks!

It would just be the stock J200 in this one for the single coil. Also need to correct myself, I'm putting the J90C in there temporarily, but it came stock with a J50BC, the 90C is from my model 3.

And good point on the tone cap, and especially since I'm using 0.022 for both that makes sense. So I would wire that like I would a strat right? With the cap on the outside lug then going to middle lug on second tone pot?

Side question: It doesn't matter whether the cap is on the center or outer lug right? (If I'm sharing the cap I'll do it as I normally do anyways)

Knucklehead - Well that's just too bad for them!

As long as either cap or wire goes to middle lug, it doesn't matter which way they are. You' wire it just like in scheme you posted, just replace cap on a middle lug, with wire that goes to the middle lug of other tone pot with a cap.
