Hi, I got my LP wired up with a JB bridge and a Distortion in the neck using a 6-way 4-pole rotary switch. All six positions make sound, which is good.
What I was going for was:
1)bridge humbucker
2)inner coils series
3)inner coils parallel
4)neck humbucker + inner coil of bridge
5)neck + bridge humbuckers
6)neck humbucker
Using the scientific method of cranking the volume and gain I checked each position by touching a piece of metal to the poles of each coil to check if it was active. It seems that all of them follow my plan except for #2. I didn't really know how to achieve inner coils in series, so I just wired the series links together and the north start of the neck humbucker to output to see what would happen. This appears to have resulted in the neck pickup + outer coil of bridge pickup. The output is pretty hot and kind of dark. Does anybody know what I've got with postion 2? Or how to get inner coils in series? Thank you!
