It sounds like a cool amp, but "best amp in the world" (as stated in their website), that's a pretty bold statement ;)

Haha yeah I don't think any amp maker should ever say that...unless it's got a built in ice machine :eek13:

Make that a built-in keg that never goes dry!
How 'bout that Scott? :friday:

Seriously, I'm curious about the idea of an all-tube amp designed to be completely clean and the foundation for a bunch of pedals. Am I missing something here or would it be cheaper and more reliable to just build a high quality solid state amp for this purpose? I've always thought the beauty of tubes was the way they behave when they are abused (or at least pushed a bit).

Here's a rough and incomplete tour of Australian amps currently in production:

Smaller amps builders like Woogie and Ozone don't have a website. Let's not also forget there is a plethora of vintage Australian amps still floating around today: Moody, Maton, Goldentone, Wasp, Vase, Eminar, Fi-Sonic etc.

Sounds like the same problem american or british amps have by the time they arrive here.

For the price of a Deizel VH4 , Mesa Boogie Road King, or Bogner Ecstasy I could easily buy two Sherlock Fatheads which argurably does the same thing.

Sure is a good looking amp....shame no sound clips :dunno:

Cool :) Where can you go to play one? It appears that they are located in Ballarat.

Re: Check out this new amp maker...very interesting (made in Australia)

Yep...apparently though if you are interested in his stuff he will bring a few to you for a no obligation demo...since Ballarat is located about 200km west of Melbourne.

I like the idea about being able to customise them to your liking if you can make it down to the workshop though.
