Shalom bro's

i recorded this to post up here and see what i need to change in this tone to improve it. i think it just needs a final touch of some sort, im realy happy with it.
recorded with my dear dear ibanez on the bridge position (steves special), thru a [temporary] dunlop crybaby (should get my Snarling Dogs wah soon) and to the magic-red-box, directly to the computer.
the clip is raw, didnt apply any EQing or whatever. recorded at 160kbps, and weighs just over 1 MB.

dont mind the playing on it i need reviews on the tone, this is supposed to serve as my gainy lead sound.

please check it out and tell me what you think about it.

Re: Check out this tone sample please

Possibly too much reverb.

Other than that I thought it sounded good, maybe back the gain down a tiny bit.

Re: Check out this tone sample please

a tiny bit of too much reverb, turn the bass slighty down too. the palm muting is a bit too boomy if you ask me, but i guess it sounds perfect for rythm hehe.

very nice modern sound overall

Re: Check out this tone sample please

Gorgeous fluid phrasing there in the first part Du.....sounds excellent. As far as the tone- I agree that there's a tad too much reverb on that (and perhaps when you eq it roll off <125hz) otherwise it's excellent!

Re: Check out this tone sample please

thanks for the replies bros

i'll roll the reverb back abit, or "shrink" the size of it.
the bass does need to go down just a bit, i need to try doing it without damaging the balls to the higher notes (which i like).
the gain is actually one of the only things i realy want to stay the same, this is supposed to be my most gainy sound, and its got the gain on about 6 (1 o'clock) with no boost and no compression/FX, most of the gain is being pushed from the mid-high gain pickups and my fingers :D

my goal in this tone is to have a very big open and raw tone, but with alot of tightness and definition. just a touch of dynamics too.
i realy like how it bites your face off on the bridge position and gets realy smooth on the neck position.

Re: Check out this tone sample please

can you do me a favor man

put the gain on 10. EQ it so no frequency has the upper hand. not really scooped but make it fluid, if you know what i mean.

then let yourself go. i'd like to hear ya on FULL =)
