Cheeky Zebra's

i just sent off a pair of pickups(seth lovers) to get wax potted, and after removing the covers to my pleasant surprise i discovered that they were zebra coils, one in the usual zebra and the other a reverse zebra; so when i get them back i'm going to leave the covers off because i love the zebra coil look!
anyway my question is, is there a specific reason seymour duncan do this? are they trying to stay super faithful to the way gibson used to do their pickups by 'randomising' the coil colours? or do they just like being cheeky?

Re: Cheeky Zebra's

its pretty random for being historically correct.

but i remember Evan in a interview saying they had to buy a lifetime supply of the cream butrate to get seth & ant production going. And I'm suprised based on their everlasting stock of cream plastic that they dont all end up Double Cream.

but its cool to be suprised when you do take off those covers just as people were in the late 50s.
