You know Timmy I realy envy guys of your age... When I was 16-17, all I could lay my hands on were Tapes and cds..... today I can acces stuff like this on the net with ease....
Blackmore was my first guitar hero... I had not listend to him for a while... except the Ocasional.. smoke on the water and Highway star whihc every Dude keeps playing... Of lately been listening to him a lot

MY favorite Purple tune (see the link below). Ritchie was a huge influence on my when I was young, I often wonder what he would be playing today if he had kept with the electric instead of going acoustic?

Ritchie was my first guitar hero...during ny teens.... I too often wonder... what he would have played had he still kept the Electric..

Ritchie is one of my favs too, but his electric playing throughout the late 80s and 90s was pretty spotty...in concerts he would often just make lots of noise, and refused to come out from backstage until the solo of the song. Very odd. I think he was bored of the whole 'rock show' thing, and started his new band. He has mentioned lately he wants to record more rock stuff, so who knows.
