Chimiest pickups? (Not atrocious and twangy sounding, please.)

Okay.. So, I've been re-evaluating the setup I'm going to be doing on my guitar.
I was going to (potentially still will) put the Duesenberg Domino P90 in the neck position, primary for my clean tones.

I love that sound.. It's gorgeous, especially once he reaches the chorus section of Donde Esta La Playa.
Anyway, I'm looking for that tone. I've considered filtertrons, other P90s, other singles, or anything really.
My hesitation about these pickups, though lovely they may sound, they are $160 if I buy directly from Germany, and $180 from the US. (Yes, I had the idea to check Germany, and it's actually a lot cheaper, considering a fair piece of the $160 goes toward shipping.)

This will be in an alder bodied strat with a maple neck/fingerboard, and used for something.. Let's say indie-ish.


So, what are your suggestions?

I love 69 style pickups for chime. Psych set from duncan, voodoo 69 from Dallen, CS 69 from fender, etc.

IMO, no pickup is just gonna magically give you "chime." Amp settings, setup, and, most importantly, technique are gonna be the most important factors in getting "chime" out of a guitar. I'd just get a quality set of basic old-style Strat pickups, like SSL-2's and learn how to work them to get what you want. Your right hand has way more to do with "chime," "quack," and "twang" than any device you can buy.
