hello...

Take a look at these pics, is it possible to get something like this repaired? or will i just have to live with it? Ive had this guitar for as long as i can remember and its been beaten up a fair few times... but never by me... clumsy friends :P

Re: Chip/Dent Repairs...?

You could use some wood filler then paint it. The back of the neck is more of an issue. I would just sand it as smooth as I could get it then paint it. Matching white paint is going to be really hard especially if it has aged. The other battle scars, well if your not to concerned about it, use wood filler then sand it smooth and refinish it with some paint.

+1 for lightly sanding the finish on the back of the neck.

Fine grade abrasive on a shaped block/holder is preferrable. Those spongy sanding blocks for keying household paint will do perfectly well. Aim to get a "satin" matt finish. Apply masking tape to the heel and the back of the headstock.

I would leave the body scars alone. Call it Relic-ing.

@Bludave, thats not a bad idea, ive looked up repainting before and it said i need primer, the white paint and then the gloss? or is the gloss in the paint lol dunno if id trust myself painting my guitar, i can imagine it coming out horrible...

@grumptruck, yea lol there pretty bad... :P the neck isnt actually that bad though, still fairly smooth, its the massive chunk in the second pic that annoys me the most cause i see it every time i play the guitar :/
