Choosing a new set of single coils or 'lill's.

I'm updating a project guitar of mine, re-finnishing the body and installing
new pots and 5/w selector and naturally the question arises...
What new pick-ups will give this baby a voice that suits?
The body is strat but made from mahogany with full floating trem, the neck
is rosewood,a shredder from an old Jackson Rhodes of mine.
I'm guessing i need a little more bite and more output?
I thought i may put a lill screamin deamon [cos i already have one] in the bridge pos.
Maybe a hotstack in the neck and vint stag SSL1 in mid.

Help me out, guys. Thanks.

Hey there, welcome to the forum!

Maybe you could give a little more info for us?

How is the body routed (will it accept only singles in the neck and mid)?
What type of music are you playing with it?
What type of amp are you playing it through?
Are you using anything in front of your amp (effects-like distortion)?

That would help me to make some suggestions for you.

Agreed.

Also, what does the guitar sound like unplugged? Is it bright? Dark?

Do you wish to attenuate its natural tendencies, or do you wish to enhance them?

Also, what tone (if any) are you chasing with this guitar?

Thanks for the welcome ! cool to join you guys in the forum.
The guitar is routed for singles only and it's a smallish cavity, not same as typical strat cavity. I want to use it for rock/blues I spose.
Amps are Fender deluxe and Marhall artist (I don't expect you to know what that is) except that it's a little jem.
Vox wah, TS9 Tugescreamer, Megalodon super solo, The Treminator, Phase, Delay.
Tone is important.
Types of music Rock, blues, metal, just to keep it simple.
The guitar unpluged is warm 'strat' sounding, so a lot like a typical 'strat',
but it has potencial to be a monster if i can get a good p/up, combo worked out.
The influences for me to customise this axe
has always been SRV Jimi and Nuno, that also says something about tone I hope.

I think that a pair of the new Classic Stack Plus pickups would work well with the Lil Screamin Demon with your set up.
