Hey guys, my Carvin is a Mahogany body, maple board and maple neck with walnut stripes.

pics if anyone is interested: https://www.flickr.com/photos/121208497@N03/albums/72157659074877490

I will be playing rock blues (if that is even a thing) to metal (more like Metallica, Dream Theater and Billy Talent, so nothing super high gain)
So nothing crazy high output, my rig consists of JCM800, 6505+ and a 1959SLP, so I have a variety of tones which will make pickup choice a little easier.

I was thinking HSS configuration
Neck: Seymour Duncan SSL-2
Middle: Seymour Duncan SSL-2
Bridge: DiMarzio Super Distortion or PAF Pro. MAYBE a Gravity Storm.

leave opinions or if you have a question please do ask I do think I have covered many grounds

Check out the classic stack stk-s4. It is the noiseless ssl2. You will not like ssls with those marshalls. The hum will drive you nuts. The stacks give the same tone but no buzz.
