hello folks

i have two pickups im looking at and would appreciate if anyone has any thoughts as the correct combination for my tele

looking at the str-1 for the neck pickup and would like to compliment that with one or the other

for the bridge pickup - stl1b broadcaster or the vintage 54 lead stl-1 - how do these two compare

both are seymore duncan

any thoughts are welcomed

Re: choosing the right pickup for my tele

The Broadcaster is wound a little hotter and uses bigger magnets set up in a flat pole set upm this yeilds a fatter tone that is a little nastier and edgy wiht a nice punch in the mids the vintage 54 is a little less hot and has smaller magnets set up in a stagger which yeilds a les compressed cleaner tone with killer chime on the clean tones...both are great pickups and I think you'd be happy either way...FWIW, my personal pick of the 2 is the Broadcaster.

Re: choosing the right pickup for my tele

i was kind of thinking that the broadcaster neck pickup might be my choice but wanted to get some feedback here .

im wondering how close the fender nocaster bridge pickup compares sound wise to the duncan broadcaster stl-1b .

where is a good source you would recommend to buy the seymore duncan pickups

thanks for your thoughts
