Chorus Pedal Suggestion - Shimmery and Lush

As a fan of 80 and 90s indie I am a huge chorus fan but am looking for something to satisfy my thirsts. I am currently using a Mooer Ensemble King (CE-2 clone) which I love for the most part but it distorts when I use anything that boost frequency like a wah or with higher output pickups (fine with no other fx clean with a 60s style telecaster or strat). The current trend for chorus seems to be warbly thick sounds which is the opposite of what I am after, want a clean shimmery lush sounding pedal.

Many people might suggest a ce-1 clone anu embed oned say they are the same as the Jazz Chorus but I just dont hear I can hear the lfo to much in all the clones I have heard.

I would get the Waza Craft ce-2 but it is expensive even used. Would prefer analog because all digital modulation I have heard (excluding rack stuff which I love!) doesnt sound the same for example the Mobius really lacks the chorus and flange tones (which is what has stopped me getting one).

Here are some examples of the kind of chorus tones

I'd check out the Catalina Chorus, which is more than capable of making those sounds. Plus, it has the dynamic feature, so you can regulate how much chorus you have by how hard you pick.

I just picked up a MXR234 analog chorus. Absolutely love it.
Dripping wet, lush chorus. Check it out.

Peace,

Field of Mars has this Dimension-style chorus going on, at least to my ears. The other stracks all sound pretty standard in their chorus offerings.

There's some good suggestions here. My personal choice would be a Walrus Audio Julia (expensive) or a BBE Mind Bender (budget). Both are analog.

What is your budget for a pedal? If cost isnt an issue I would suggest the Clusterflux from MOOG. It will do everything you are looking to do and more.

Great suggestions thanks. Budget wise Max 150 really. Thought about the mxr but comparisons to an original ce2 didn't really do it for me to drippy, I'll check out the h20 t do those guys still make individual version of pedals or was that discontinued? If I go digital id think the tc or the neaunaber would be god options.

What about something in the Tri-chorus zone or a Dimension C ????

Tri-chorus or Dimension C is the answer; I don't care what the question is. TC Electronic have modern versions of both now.

I do like the Dimension pedals...I love the chorus with minimal or varied modulation. As another idea, a good delay pedal with modulation, like the Vapor Trail, is a great chorus, too. Just set the delay time low, with minimal repeats, and a little modulation- instant chorus.

Yeah I use my flashback x4 and my digitech delay to get chorus when I don't have my mooer hooked up. Just looking for something more specific then that I guess more premium.

Just sayin'

Yeah would love one or the Roland rack units, they go for a pretty penny these days. Supposebly sweet water have done ce2 and dimension toneprints for the corona chorus not sure how they stack up though

I have the original of that pedal. I love the sound, but hate the lack of headroom. Hopefully, I will be able to test it against this little thing some time during the second half of this year:
