Clarification on ArtiesToo De-Mud Mod (more)

I know this mod has been covered, referred to etc. ad nauseam, but I'm a bit thick at the best of times and will apologise in advance.

I've used this mod in two HB equipped guitars (both on SD 59n's) with good results.

I just want to confirm that if I wish to cut the low end even further than the "standard" de-mud mod, I need to use a LOWER value cap.
Is that correct?
eg: currently using .01uf, so to CUT more lows go to (say) .0068uf.

I presume the resistor can remain 500k. Only the cap effects the frequencies, yes?

Very cool tool. Unfortunately, I have no idea what the calculation results mean.

If someone could give me a yay or nay on my posted presumptions/questions, it would be more helpful.

ie: "Yes, lower cap value = less low end" or vice versa.

Sorry for my lack of understanding of what I'm sure is very basic electronics for many.

Sorry I missed this. What you're saying is correct. .0068uf would cut out more lows. Thats because the cap is in series with the audio circuit. If the cap had been in a tone control, then the lower value cap would cut less highs. Thats because it affects the amount you're sending to ground.
