I just picked up a CP Jaguar earlier this week and am really loving it. It's so close to what a perfect guitar would be for me, save for a couple indescrepancies.
Since this thread is located where it is, I assume you can guess what the primary issue is.
I like the pickups that came with this guitar, they sound good and fat and round. Definitely similar to an overwound strat pickup, I would imagine.
I'm looking for something more on the side of a vintage voiced pickup. Naturally, I'm considering the AntII set which seems like a no-brainer. But the Duncan site boasts no clips and states that these puls make more sense dropped into an actual vintage jaguar.
I'm working on bringing these close to vintage specs and am wondering if these would be a good choice for me. Here's to you guys, always a help.
(And here's to an even smaller number of you that actually play Jaguars!)
