Clip from the gig Saturday night.

This band's first gig together. Lynda came out here from MD last year and has looked for a band to play her tunes, so I got the drummer I always work with, and the guitarist from another band I'm in who was originally a bass player.

The rig is an Ibanez AM-93AYS, into an old VOX wah, and Danelectro Pastrami OD, and a Pro junior.

Sweet! I have the red version of that guitar....I love it. I put a 30 year old SD PAF in the front and Alnico II Pro in the bridge position.
Is yours stock?

For now it is. I'm thinking a set of either Seths or Pearly Gates would be in order sometime in the future, but the Super 58 Customs are just fine for what they are.

Re: Clip from the gig Saturday night.

band's really good. love the dynamics.

singing was a huge weak link to my ears. Seems like she was either singing unnecessarily quietly or swallowing all the words and not enunciating properly. Could've been much more powerful and emotive.

But the band kicked ass at least :)

Thanks. :)

Lynda sings in a very quiet voice most of the time. Makes it hard to really rock out. I've been getting her into singing some Aretha Franklin tunes, and that should help her to be more powerful in her delivery. I also need to get a beta 58 on her vocal instead of the crappy Nady mics I have now.

As for myself, watching these things makes me realize that I don't use as much overdrive as I tend to think I do, and I could stand to bump it up a notch at times.

I can see why you always work with that drummer. Nice playing!

Squid's the man. He's lefty, but refused to learn on a lefty kit. That way, he can change the crash and ride to the sides he likes on any righty kit and go to town. In his cabin, he has a bed, refrigerator, an entertainment center, and his drums.

The bassist is using a late '70s Music Man that is just the best bass I've ever played.

Nice work. Gorgeous axe.:32::32:

Some of the sound issues could be the phone compressing the sound.

Thanks! The neck on these is the biggest I've ever seen on an Ibanez.

The phone is definitely a limiting factor.
