Clip with 4 tracks from GuitCussion´s new CD "Exit Wonderland"
Released some days ago, can be purchased from Soundcloud.
GuitCussion has 2 guitarists and 2 drummers, and the music is all improvised in the studio. Freeform - no overdubs or edits.
The other guitarist, Brakophonic, plays an Ovation Breadwinner into some serious digital equipment and can sound like a synth, an acoustic guitar, a double bass, a sitar, a Fender Rhodes piano or a freight train running in the dark - at the same time (loops).
I always sound like an electric guitar into a tube amp. So he´s digital and I am analog, so to say.
In the clip below I play on the first track a Yamaha SA2200 with Wolfetone Marshallhead pickups, in the second I play my old Les Paul SG 1961 with the original PAF pickups, in the third I play a Godin Artisan ST-1 with Dimarzio Area pickups (61 and 58), in the fourth Brakophonic plays a Fender electric mandolin and I go back to the Yamaha SA2200 with Wolfetone Marshallhead pickups. I use a tweed Fender Blues Deville, which has some NOS-tubes.
