Been really feeling the physical need to get back to guitars with a more substantial neck (my skinny neck guitars really aggravate my CTS).And with the 2015 price hike and changes to the lineup, I rolled the dice on a ZZounds payment plan for this. I was all prepared to hate it, and mail it back out this weekend.
Neck is massive. as big as my old R8. It had alot of sustain right out of the case, but the sound was dull, congested, and plinky. Dropped the tailpiece, got rid of the garbage cleartones, top wrapped with Daddario XLs and now its thumping me in the gut at the neck joint when I play an open chord. Big Boy Les Paul tones
It's supposedly 9 Lbs on the nuggets, but feels lighter than my (swiss) Classic @ 8.6 Lbs. I reckon the big neck and solid back just balances better on the strap.
I know people do not like the inlay, but I have been nothing but impressed with the 2014s I have played.
