Cmatmods drive pedals

Does anyone here have Cmatmods drive pedals on their pedalboard currently? I'm looking at the Signa Drive and the Brownie and may try one or the other if I can find them used at a good price. Just wondering what the impressions are here if you've used any of their dirt/drive pedals.

Re: Cmatmods drive pedals

I'm surprised they're not more popular, but most of that has to do with marketing, not quality.

CMatmods makes great OD pedals. The Brownie really surprised me. It's amazing at taking a clean plexi sound to a roaring heavy Marshall, and it does it so naturally that it sounds like amp gain, not pedal gain.

The Signa Drive is also a great pedal, and a great choice for a blues solo tone with single coils. That's the only way I've heard that pedal so far.

For the $130 price range they're in, they beat a lot of $200+ pedals.

I should keep my eyes open for a Brownie on Craigslist. I don't need it bad enough to pay full price, but that's because I have a Bogner Blue that covers all that.
