Coil split 2 HBs with 3 way blade switch?

I have two alnico pro 2 4-conductor humbuckers I plan to put into a strat style guitar with a 3-way blade selector switch. I would like if I can make the middle position be the two pickups in split mode. Is this possible with just the 3-way switch or would I need to add a DPDT push/pull pot to split them?

Can't do it with just a 3-way. You could either add a DPDT or just change the 3-way to a super switch which would also allow you to have a normal middle position but the #2 and #4 positions could switch to both inside coils and both outside coils (Mincer's do-it-all-wiring).

Thanks a ton for pointing me in the right direction. I found the diagram in post #26 of this thread, for anyone stumbling across this later: https://forum.seymourduncan.com/forum/the-pickup-lounge/6105568-do-it-all-hh-wiring-questions/page2

IF you're ready to renounce to noise cancellation when both pickups are split and in parallel (mode whose low inductance in this case shouldn't favor much noise anyway), it seems doable by reversing the wires AND flipping the mag of one pickup (unless I'm missing something: quite possible since I post that on a hurry while I'm busy and tired; but it shouldn't harm to try to help):

EDIT - Was thinking to reverse the wires and mag just to have one coil with slugs and one coil with screws in parallel in center position. But wiring the 2d pickup normally without reversing its mag would give the same "non noise cancelling mode", just with both screw coils enabled... :-P

Hi freefrog, thanks a lot for your thoughts and sketching out the circuit to achieve this with a 3-way switch. I decided to try it first with a 5-way superswitch because I am familiar with wiring these from a prior pickguard, and by flipping the neck magnet it supposedly can retain humbucking in all 5 positions. I am going to use my 3-way as selector on another pickguard that only has a Little '59 and Jb Jr pickups. According to reviews these pickups don't really split well, and their mags can't be flipped, so I don't think I'll be missing anything by using a simple 3-way with them.
