Coil Split Question

So, I'm going to be rewiring my guitar soon. It has two four conductor humbuckers, and I plan on using this diagram from SD.

I was wondering which coil is active when split: https://www.seymourduncan.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/2H_3B_1VppSPL_1TppPH.jpg

I think I want to have outer coils, do I need to wire anything differently to accomplish that?

Splits are to slug coils with any Duncan diagram. It splits to the slightly more articulate neck position, and the less biting bridge position.
To reverse the coils split to, just reverse black and green wire locations

Thank you for the info, I'll definitely keep this in mind. If I were to do the outer coil of one and the inner coil of another, would this be hum cancelling?

On Duncan’s, if you split to one Screw and one Slug, it is hum cancelling.

Good to know! I'm not running Duncans atm but I'll run the outer coil on the neck and inner coil on the bridge.
