Coil-splitting Gibson 490r/t pups

No effects

My Jazz/JB Les Paul has the coils split and I'm starting to really like this feature. I also have a Gibson SG (490r/490t) and was wondering if anyone has heard theses pups in split mode. Any info is appreciated - thanks.

i think the 490r might sound ok but i think the 490t would be too thin and weak to be much good. are they four conductor?

The Gibson site says that "Factory-installed 490R and 490T pickups have two conductor wiring", so I guess that puts an end to this thread! Thanks Jeremy
